Mark Dennis, Financial Advisor, joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2007. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1987 with a degree in Financial Markets and Institutions. After college Mark began his first career as a professional football player with the Miami Dolphins. During the off-seasons he began to work in the financial services industry with Investacorp, an independent broker/dealer in Miami, Florida and later with Northern Trust Bank. While still playing in the National Football League, Mark went on to complete his MBA in 1993 at Florida International University.
After ten years in the National Football League, Mark spent three years with the technology financing company Comdisco working in the area of financing and lease structuring. Prior to joining Smith Barney Mark owned and operated a Web design and hosting company which focused on small to medium sized businesses. Mark is an active member of the Chicago NFL Retired Players. He is married to Kathy, a medical sales and marketing executive with Biosphere Medical, and has three children.
