Paul has been with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and its predecessor firms since 1982 and has managed portfolios since 1973 with other organizations. His role stresses portfolio management and investments that provide an income stream.
He received his Bachelors of Arts at California State University, Northridge and the Certified Financial Planner designation from the College of Financial Planning in Englewood, Colorado.
In his off-time, you will find Paul playing his banjo, touring with wife Susan on his motorcycle or spending some leisure time on his sailboat in the Marina del Rey area or at Catalina Island. He has been an officer of a number of yachting organizations which have responsibilities from Victoria, Canada to San Diego and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Santa Monica Bay Sailing Foundation, a 501 (c)3 organization dedicated to the advancement of sailing and youth activities.

Joel has been with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney since 1980 in a number of capacities. He managed both the Beverly Hills and Westlake Village branch which gives him a very good understanding of the operational nature of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. This understanding helps the Westlake Group perform many of the client functions transparently, making our client experience as seamless as possible. His role as a Senior Portfolio Manager with the Westlake Group is to focus on asset allocations to maximize client returns. Once an allocation is determined for a client, the focus then becomes stock and/or index selection as well as the correct fixed income selection.
He received his BA in Finance from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Smith Barney he was a mortgage analyst in the International Mortgage division of Kaufman and Broad in West Los Angeles. He is a registered municipal and options principal in addition to maintaining his supervisory licenses.
He is an avid golfer as well as a lifelong motorcyclist, spending much time in the desert as well as riding his BMW on the beautiful mountain roads along the southern California coastal ranges.
He currently resides in Newbury Park.

Financial Planning Specialist
Jason has been with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney since 2005. His role is that of Financial Planner, including retirement planning, education planning, and estate planning.
He received a Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering at UC Irvine, and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering at Stanford University. Prior to working at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Jason spent several years as a project engineer developing medical devices.
After hours, and on weekends, you will likely find Jason appreciating Mother Nature in the great outdoors. This is especially true when it comes to the ocean. Boating has been a lifestyle for Jason since birth. He is currently an active sailboat racer in the Martin 242 fleet of Marina Del Rey.
“I believe that everybody has a calling in life. Service is my calling. I find my job very satisfying because
it allows me to help clients on an individual basis every day of the week.” Jason lives in Westlake Village.
