Daniel Brecher, First Vice President - Wealth Management
Since 2002, Daniel Brecher has worked with a diverse clientele of Corporate Executives and their Companies, High Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices and Charitable Organizations. Daniel joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2005 after working at UBS Financial Services where he began his career in the Securities Industry. Prior to this, he was the Co-Founder and Vice President of Sales of an Internet company called Versity.com. He helped grow the company from 5 university students in a living room to a booming Silicon Valley organization with 8,000 employees across the country. Daniel graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He also studied Economics for a year at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. He grew up in Boston and now lives in San Diego with his wife Stacey and daughter, Eva. Designations and licenses include: Series 7, 66, and California Insurance.
Scott Short, First Vice President - Wealth Management
Since 1996, Scott Short has worked with a diverse clientele of Corporate Executives and their Companies, High Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices and Charitable Organizations. Scott joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in 2005 after working at UBS Financial Services for 5 years. Prior to this, he began his career in the securities industry with Morgan Stanley. Scott attended the University of Toledo in Ohio, majoring in both Psychology and Philosophy. He now lives in San Diego with his wife Devonne and their son Nathan. Designations and licenses include: Series 3, 7, 66 and California Insurance.
R. Brooks Brydges, Second Vice President - Wealth Management
Since 1995, Brooks Brydges primary focus has been providing high level service and financial advice to high net worth corporate executives, business owners, private clients and charitable organizations. Brooks joined the wealth management division of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in January of 2006 from Morgan Stanley. He earned his B.S. in Economics from San Diego State University before establishing the income property division as an agent for a Los Angeles real estate group while studying appraisal at the University of California, Los Angeles. Brooks is currently a board member of the Parkinson's Disease Association of San Diego and member of the Surfrider Foundation. Brooks enjoys tennis and surfing in his free time.
